[ Clark's there early, of course. Fifteen minutes is usually a lot less than fifteen minutes when you're faster than a speeding bullet.

He's wearing exactly what he said he would. A baseball cap and open plaid button-down over a white t-shirt. She should recognize him right away.

You can't get any more Kansas than Clark Kent, and at 6'3" 250lbs he's pretty hard to miss. ]

[ caroline would have been on time, but she stopped at her and elliot's apartment to liberate a handful of eggs from their hen to bring them to clark as a thank you for returning her mom's badge. she figures that, since he's from kansas, he'll appreciate the homegrown offering. (homelaid? same thing.)

even still she arrives almost exactly on the fifteen minute mark, ambling down the sand with an easy grace. in her white sundress, splashed with delicate pink toile flowers, and the little basket of eggs hooked over her arm, she looks like the quintessential southern belle, pausing to step out of her flip flops and carry them in her free hand.

she pauses again when she looks up from the sand and spots clark, mouth falling open. ]

Oh my Kansas.

[ she's not exactly short, towering over bonnie and elena at her 5'8", but she feels dwarfed in front of this man. yup, romance novel cover get. ]
