It's like a crappy möbius strip of blood and death and who wants to watch that? [ caroline is whining as they walk down street, gesticulating with the straw of her milkshake. she is morally affronted by the walking dead and no one is surprised. ]
It's just such an insult to the actual undead, like I don't even shamble!
[Elena just nods along in agreement as they walk arm in arm. She lost her appetite for supernatural media when the world around her actually became supernatural, so she can't blame Caroline for being offended.]
I agree. Our undead are way more attractive than theirs.
[ caroline on caffeine is like... well, it's something, for sure. her vampire body is supposed to be able to handle it better but that's a big ol' lie and the butterfly becomes a hummingbird. especially at night when people are asleep and she can zip through town without people noticing.
except maybe the blur that just passed her! ]
HEY! This is a no passing lane! [ you can't run on the highway, caroline, and think people will obey the traffic laws. ]
[There aren't a lot of speedsters around. In fact, usually when another speedster is around, it's a bad thing. But other speedsters also aren't cute and blond and yelling at her for passing them.
It's a little odd.
But there's a bank robbery to stop so Barry is going to take care of that before zooming back around again and passing her.
Fangtasia is a stupid name, Caroline can't help noting that as she passes the beautiful blonde vampire at the door to stride through into the club proper. She doesn't like it already, nose scrunching up unhappily. She's doing this as a favor and it's a favor she doesn't want to be doing but holy shit will the favor they're owed be huge!
It's only a few hours until dawn so the crowd isn't as thick as she imagines it is after nightfall, but that's irrelevant, she still has to wind between drunk humans and blood drunk vampires alike to reach the table behind the velvet rope.
"Erik, can you please leave your den of iniquity for like five minutes to talk to me? I know it'll be hard to pry yourself away from..." She gestures at the drunk girls basically curled at his feet, looking up at him like he's a marble Adonis. Which he is, admittedly, but Caroline doesn't like the way that these girls act. Have some self respect. "Your fans."
Caroline has no place in vampire hierarchy or politics, but she'd liked Erik when he'd come to talk to the Mikaelsons and run into Caroline being annoyed by the entire family. She just needed them to answer a question but, god, they were notoriously difficult to deal with. It turns out Caroline is exceptionally easy to deal with though and, for more money than she's worth, she'd let herself be hired out as the Mikaelson's mouthpiece to talk to the Louisiana vampires in their stead.
Which is what finds her here tonight, wishing she could be home watching Stranger Things and eating ice cream out of the pint.
Perhaps it's stupid, but the humans love it which means they'll pay
ridiculous cover prices and drink prices to mingle with beautiful vampires
(and Eric employs no other kind).
It has thinned out quite a bit so things aren't packed the way they
were earlier. It's been a good and profitable night. Eric knew that
Caroline was coming to speak to him and arranged this scene just for her.
Most nights, this late, he's in the office doing paperwork and other
mundane tasks because the humans that he's generally on parade for have
gone home and the addicts are the only ones left at this time of night. He
catches sight of her the moment she walks in his club (she's hard to miss
whether she realizes it or not), but holds onto his seat on his throne. "Of
course, though there is plenty of room on my lap if you'd like to join me
in the den," he tells her with a smirk, one hand straying to the woman's
head to pet her like a dog. He does stand up, looking to the women on the
floor in front of the throne. "Stay," he points at them then steps off the
stage and walks to Caroline.
"Perhaps we should take this somewhere more private," he gestures toward
the back of the club where his office is then holds his arm out for her to
take. She'll find she'll have to do less weaving and navigating with him by
her side. He may no longer be a king, but this is still his domain.
She takes his arm with some reluctance, expression as dry as the Sahara. She will not give in to his flirtatious ways. She's on a break from dating for the foreseeable future, self-imposed celibacy.
"I'm not sleeping with you," is how she says yes to his invitation to his office, however.
Just putting that on the table, for the record. She will not sleep with him. Not just in the somewhere more private of his office, but anywhere. This isn't going to be that kind of business arrangement. She already has Klaus trying to climb into her pants, she doesn't need another eons old vampire with a boner specifically for her.
Got it! Turkey will stay frozen until Friday. I got a pretty decent sized one, so hopefully there will be enough for everyone. I also got stuffing and the ingredients for the green beans including those crispy onion things.
Also Jeremy will be in town so he'll probably be joining us.

And I really don't get everyone's obsession with Daryl. When was the last time that man bathed?

I don't think there's going to be many showers in the zombie apocalypse.

Again.
Because he's a jerk.
Sorry, Caroline.]

But I would text Aunt Elena with an ETA before she starts trying to prep the turkey herself.

Texting your Dad and Bonnie too, maybe we can get the whole gang back together unless that sounds awful to you
